The City of Arvada is a Home Rule Municipality located in Jefferson County and Adams County, Colorado, United States. Olde Town Arvada is located just northwest of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver. The United States Census Bureau estimates that the population of Arvada was 104,830 on 2006-07-01. Arvada is the eighth most populous city in the State of Colorado and the 241st most populous city in the United States.

Founded in 1904, downtown Arvada gains much of its vibe from its charming turn-of-the-century Main Street Americana ambience, with 26 restaurants and bars, eight galleries, and 14 gift and clothing shops. Dining options range from fine Italian cuisine to an authentic German bakery. Throughout the town, historic markers tell the story of how the town got its beginnings as an agricultural community and grew as railroad and trolley lines from Denver were built.
